Frequently Asked Questions
How big should a litter box be?
A litter box should be at least 1.5 times the length of your cat from nose to tail base. The width should be at least equal to the cat's body length. This gives them enough room to comfortably turn around and dig.
How many litter boxes do I need?
The general rule is n+1: one litter box per cat, plus one extra. So if you have 2 cats, you should have 3 litter boxes. This reduces territorial issues and ensures a clean option is always available.
How deep should the litter be?
Most cats prefer 2-4 inches of litter depth. Too little litter means the box needs cleaning more often, while too much litter may discourage some cats from using the box.
