Frequently Asked Questions

What is BMI Prime?
BMI Prime is your BMI divided by 25 (the upper limit of normal BMI). A BMI Prime of 1.0 means you are exactly at the upper limit of normal weight. Below 1.0 is normal, above 1.0 is overweight.
Why use BMI Prime instead of BMI?
BMI Prime makes it easier to see how far you are from the normal range. A value of 0.95 means you are 5% below the upper limit of normal. A value of 1.10 means you are 10% above it.
What is a healthy BMI Prime?
A healthy BMI Prime is between 0.74 and 1.0. Below 0.74 is considered underweight, 1.0–1.2 is overweight, and above 1.2 is obese.
